Every single child is unique: Priyanka Chopra

Mumbai: Giving thumbs-up to video “Dear Maa” with foreword narrated by actress Juhi Chawla on Down Syndrome awareness, "Mary Kom" star Priyanka Chopra says every child is “special in their own unique way”.
“It's a disservice to categorise them. Every single child is special in their own unique way. Do watch this,” Priyanka, who supports Unicef's adolescent work in the country, tweeted on Sunday.
The 32-year-old also posted the link of the three-and-half-minute video, which features the day-to-day life of children suffering from the genetic disorder.
The video, which was posted on YouTube on May 7, has received close to 13,000 views till now.
In the opening of the video, Juhi says: “Every year, in India, thousands of children afflicted with Down Syndrome are aborted in the womb. The ones fortunate enough to be born are considered a burden by family and society. When, in fact, they are no less capable than a regular child.”

'Andaaz' clocks 12 years; Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta nostalgic

Mumbai: "Andaaz" has completed 12 years of its release and the movie's actresses Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta are nostalgic.
The Raj Kanwar directorial hit the screens on May 23, 2003.
"Raj, Jia and Kajal!! 12 years in a blink of an eye! I miss Raj ji! Will always be proud of 'Andaaz'," Lara posted on Twitter on Saturday.
Priyanka, who played a supporting role in "The Hero: Love Story of a Spy" before making her full-fetched appearance on the silver screen with "Andaaz", also took to Twitter to express her gratitude towards the film. 
"Driving to set n an auto playing the title song of #Andaaz haven't heard it in yrs #12yearsOfAndaaz @LaraDutta can u imagine how time flies," the 32-year-old tweeted.
Both Priyanka and Lara were awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Female for "Andaaz". 
The duo also won their international beauty pageants in 2000.
Priyanka, who was crowned Miss World in 2000, went on to star in films like "Aitraaz", "Fashion", "Kaminey", "7 Khoon Maaf" and "Mary Kom". She will next be seen in Zoya Akhtar's "Dil Dhadakne Do" and will play the lead role in American thriller TV series "Quantico".
Meanwhile, Lara, who won the Miss Universe title in the same year, has starred in films like "Masti", "No Entry" and "Housefull". She will next be seen in "Singh Is Bling".

I was called silly for doing 'Fashion': Priyanka Chopra

Mumbai: With the success of content-driven films led by women like Anushka Sharma and Kangana Ranaut, one lady who is sitting back and smiling is Priyanka Chopra, who recalls how she was called "silly" for choosing to do a movie like "Fashion" back in 2008.
Having watched Anushka's production "NH10", Priyanka was all praise for the latter for keeping the flag of "girl power" flying high.
"Der aaye durust aaye. Just saw NH10 @AnushkaSharma! So proud of you... As a woman, an actor and a producer. Keep the flag flying high babe #GirlPower," the National Award winning actress posted on Twitter on Friday.
She added: "So good to see such amazing content driven films led by girls!it was so hard to get people 2 believe in us when I started. We were always 2nd.
"I was called silly for doing Fashion. As if it would harm my career! Hah! Look at us now! This movement will soon be a revolution! #ProudFemale."
So happy is Priyanka with this whiff of change in the film industry that she is now eager to watch Deepika Padukone-starrer "Piku" and Kangana Ranaut's dual avatar in "Tanu Weds Manu Returns".
"Can’t wait to watch Piku n TanuWedsManu! GirlPower always,” the “Gunday” actress tweeted.

New Delhi: The trailer of American television series, 'Quantico' has hit one million views on YouTube. The series that stars Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has garnered a lot of love from the fans and B-Town alike. 
Priyanka thanked everyone for their support on Twitter: 
Chopra is playing a FBI agent Alex Parrish, blamed for being the mastermind behind a terrorist attack in New York. The versatile actress has received rave reviews for her role as seen in the trailer. The series promises to be thrilling and action packed and Peecee sure adds oomph to the sneak peak.

WATCH: Priyanka Chopra’s debut American TV show ‘Quantico’ trailer out

Mumbai: Our very own desi girl – Priyanka Chopra – shared the trailer of her debut American drama ‘Quantico’ on Twitter Tuesday evening.
The former Miss World, Bollywood actress and singer, plays the lead in the ABC drama.
Chopra, who plays an FBI trainee at Quantico Base in Virginia, has enacted a few bold scenes for the character.
Sharing the video with her followers on Twitter, Priyanka expressed that she is very nervous. She tweeted:

Priyanka’s friends and colleagues went gaga over the trailer soon after it was launched online. And a humble Peecee was busy acknowledging their feedback and thanked them for appreciating it.

Priyanka who is currently busy promoting Zoya Akhtar helmed 'Dil Dhadakne Do', recently flew to Los Angeles to complete the pilot episode of the ABC series 'Quantico'.
An avid user of social media, PeeCee took to Twitter to release the poster of 'Quantico' for her fans.
Reports suggest that Priyanka will be essaying the role of an FBI agent. The series has the actress paired opposite popular actor Jake McLaughlin and is shot extensively in Virginia.

'Mary Kom' a piece of my heart, says Priyanka Chopra

Mumbai: Actress Priyanka Chopra says her film “Mary Kom” is piece of her heart and she thanks friends and family for making it a successful venture.

"Mary Kom" won the Best Popular Film at the 62nd National Film Awards presented by President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday.
The actress took to her micro-blogging website Twitter to share the news and calling the film “a piece of my heart”. 
“It’s so gratifying when something u worked so hard on is acknowledged... Thank u to the national awards for MaryKom .. A piece of my heart,“ Priyanka tweeted.
The “Fashion” actress also thanked the cast, crew and the production unit of the film ”Mary Kom” on Twitter.
In the title role of the biopic of real-life boxing champion M.C. Mary Kom, Priyanka played a fearless woman who becomes an icon through her determined pursuit of sporting excellence. 
Priyanka, who is inspired by the boxing champion, has credited the award to “womanhood” as well.
“Most of all mangtec this is a win for womanhood.. U inspired me to be all that u are and I carry that in my heart always.. Thank u Mary,“ she wrote.

When the ‘Queen’ and ‘Mary Kom’ partied together!

Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut threw a joint bassh together to celebrate their respective achievements at the 62 National Film Awards.

The two, who have shared screen space in Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Fashion’, seemed to have a rocking time last evening.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who too seemed to have joined in the celebrations, posted a picture with the two actresses, who have been National Award recipients.

New Delhi: Bollywood stunning beauty Priyanka Chopra seems to be having quite a gala time with her `Dil Dhadakne Do` cast and crew.
The leggy lass can be seen recreating the iconic titanic pose in the title track of `Dil Dhadakne Do` and took to Twitter to post her picture from the ship that they shot in.

Mumbai: The ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ cast has now turned into family. Every actor on board seems to have struck an emotional chord with one another. And hence, most of them have been tweeting “family-like” images on Twitter.
Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra along with the rest of the cast have shared umpteen images of their togetherness. And on Friday morning, PeeCee tweeted a pic with her on screen father – Anil Kapoor – with a caption that read: “Daddy Coolest”.

Priyanka Chopra unveils starcast of debut American TV show

Los Angeles: Indian actress-singer Priyanka Chopra's debut American show 'Quantico' will feature an international starcast including Jake McLaughlin, Dougray Scott and Aunjanue Ellis.
The 32-year-old former Miss World took to Instagram to reveal the cast of the upcoming ABC show, which also features Tate Ellington, Graham Rogers, Johanna Braddy and Yasmine Al Massri.
"Cast list... #Quantico #PrepDay #Pilot," Priyanka wrote alongside a horizontal collage of photographs of the actors in the show.
It has been reported that McLaughlin, also 32, will play Priyanka's love interest on the series. The actor has previously starred on the J J Abrams and Alfonso Cuaron's NBC drama 'Believe'.
Josh Safran of 'Gossip Girl' fame will pen the script and executive produce the ABC Studios and Mark Gordon Company drama alongside Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper.
Marc Munden will direct the pilot.
The drama centres on a group of young FBI recruits, who battle their way through training at the Quantico base in Virginia.
Priyanka will play Alex Weaver, a brilliant but haunted FBI trainee whose past boils to the surface soon after her arrival at Quantico.

Priyanka Chopra joins drama pilot 'Quantico'

Indian actress and former Miss World Priyanka Chopra will feature in ABC drama pilot “Quantico” as a FBI trainee, reports deadline.com.
The 32-year-old, who signed a one-year TV deal with the US-based studio in December 2014, will play Alex Weaver, a brilliant but haunted Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) trainee whose past boils to the surface soon after her arrival at Quantico.
The pilot revolves around a group of young FBI recruits, all with specific reasons for joining, who battle their way through training at the Quantico base in Virginia. One will launch a devastating terrorist attack on the US. 
The drama is produced by Mark Gordon, Josh Safran and Nick Pepper.
