'Inside Out' to release in India on June 26

New Delhi: Disney-Pixar's animation venture "Inside Out", which received a standing ovation at the 68th Cannes International Film Festival, will hit the screens in India on June 26.

In "Inside Out", Oscar-winning director Pete Docter will take viewers to the most extraordinary location of all -- inside the mind. 

The film had a Cannes premiere earlier this month, and it received a warm response.

It traces the growing up of Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Riley is guided by her emotions -- Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith).

Riley is voiced by Kaitlyn Dias, and providing the voices of Mom and Dad are Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan.

"The emotions are kind of like the voices in our heads," Docter said in a statement.

"When we were just getting started on this film, we looked around at our kids, friends, co-workers... and we realised that everybody has a default temperament. We all go through periods of being happy or sad, but certain people are just happy or angry or what have you. Riley is one of those happy kids," he added.

Ben Affleck starrer 'The Accountant' to release on January 29

Los Angeles: Ben Affleck-starrer Warner Bros thriller "The Accountant", which will mark the actor's return to the big screen after "Gone Girl", will release on January 29.

In the movie, Affleck plays a brilliant accountant who moonlights as an assassin.
 
Directed by Gavin O'Connor, the movie co-stars Anna Kendrick, JK Simmons, Jon Bernthal and Cynthia Addai-Robinson. 

The movie will face competition from "Kung Fu Panda 3" and "The Finest Hours", starring Chris Pine and Affleck's brother Casey. 

'Welcome 2 Karachi' finds new release date

New Delhi: 2015 is coming out to be a great year for Bollywood releases, adding to the list Arshad Warsi-Jackky Bhagnani starrer `Welcome 2 Karachi` is the talk of the town.

But unfortunately, the fans will have to wait for now. The film's release date has been pushed to May 28 instead of its original release on May 21.

The Ashish R Mohan film was earlier scheduled to release a day ahead of Aanand L Rai's 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns'.

Producer Vashu Bhagnani took to Twitter to announce the movie's new release date.

The film also stars American dancing sensation Lauren Gottlieb, besides two renowned Pakistani actors Ayub Khoso and Adnan Shah.
