Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan and evergreen beauty Rekha's alleged love story has been part of media speculation for years.
Now, the latest addition to the buzz surrounding the two megastars is the alleged statement doled out by Puneet Issar's wife .

After Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are all set to recreate magic with their crackling chemistry in the upcoming film, Tamasha, which is being directed by Imtiaz Ali.
Going by some behind-the-scene pictures of the two that have been leaked on the internet, I am sure the duo will get everyone talking with their onscreen chemistry. However, off-screen scene was a tad bit different for the recent reports of a rift between the former lovebirds set the gossip mills buzzing.
Word has it that both Ranbir and Deepika apparently requested for different flights to travel abroad for the first schedule of the movie. Then, the ex-flames requested for rooms on different floors of the hotel they were supposed to be staying in during the film’s shoot.
However, it is learnt that contrary to all these reports, Ranbir and Deepika are very much on cordial terms. More so, both actors are very particular about their fitness regime and workout together. “They aren’t best of friends but care about each other. They talk when needed. They do hang out sometimes post their shoot but there is nothing more to it than that,” a source was quoted by a tabloid.

Through powerful storytelling and visible advocacy, Girl Rising's India campaign is designed to spark grassroots, community-led change for girls, a media release said on Saturday.
"The time has come where instead of questioning why we should educate girls, we should be asking why not. When we know that educating a girl can change the world, why wait? With Girl Rising we will change that," said Freida.
"I've been a part of the Girl Rising campaign since inception and am honoured to be able to bring this powerful idea to India. If more girls are educated, all of India stands to gain," said Priyanka.
Organised by Vanity Fair and L'Oreal Paris, the kick-off event for Girl Rising's India campaign was a night of star-studded glitz on Sunset Boulevard. The evening, part of the lead-up to the Academy Awards, celebrated and benefited ? a ground-breaking film that will change the lives of girls across India.
The film 'Girl Rising India' harnesses the talents of Bollywood's biggest stars in a Hindi version of the original film, due to release across India in 2015.
In a first-of-its kind collaboration, Bollywood stars are coming together, joining forces with corporate leaders and government, in a national movement to raise awareness about the importance of educating and valuing girls, the release said.

"There is a growing understanding across India that educating girls is vital to economic and social progress, and that addressing long-standing discrimination against the rights of girls is a national imperative," said Holly Gordon, co-founder, Girl Rising.

‘Badlapur’ review

Varun surprises, Nawaz bowls you over, again!

Sriram Raghavan has a reputation of treating a plot in a way that is unlike what one gets to watch regularly in Bollywood, especially his approach. After ‘Ek Hasina Thi’, ‘Johnny Gaddar’ and ‘Agent Vinod’, Raghavan delivers ‘Badlapur’, a saga of vengeance driven by passion to seek justice for the murders of one's loved ones.
The first half of the film is brilliantly put together and makes you eagerly wait for the remaining part.
As the trailer and the title of the film clearly suggested, ‘Badlapur’ is all about revenge and nothing else. And interestingly, the Badlapur, a suburb, a few kilometres away from Mumbai, has been used symbolically to elevate the mood of the film. As we all know is that Badla has dual meaning – one that means 'revenge' and the other 'change'. Both these meanings of the word have been smartly used in the film.
Raghu (Varun Dhawan) is happily married to Misha (Yami Gautam) and has a son. The three make a picture perfect family until Misha and his child fall prey to an ill-fated incident. Bank robbers Liak (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and his accomplice Harman (Vinay Pathak) shatter Raghu’s paradise into pieces while trying to escape after a bank robbery. Innocent lives of Misha and the child are lost, leaving a happy-go-lucky Raghu so agonised that he refuses to re-assemble himself and chooses to dwell on the path of vengeance.
Liak decides to surrender himself to the police after purposely saving his partner-in-crime, hoping that he would be released soon. But his plan goes awry, when Raghu starts playing his cards shrewdly. Nonetheless, Liak remains tight-lipped about his accomplice's name despite accusing him of murdering Raghu’s wife and child.
And that’s when Liak’s weakness – Jhumli (Huma Qureshi) - enters the scene. Jhumli, who loves Liak, voluntarily chooses prostitution as her profession to earn her livelihood. She acts as a catalyst in Liak’s life apart from his mother (Pratima Kannan), who desperately wants her son to be pardoned by law.
Fifteen years later, Shobha ( Divya Dutta), who runs an NGO approaches Raghu to request him to pardon Liak, who is now ailing from cancer and wishes to spend his remaining life with honour.
Liak’s mother reaches out to Raghu to name Harman as the real culprit. Liak is released at Raghu’s mercy but the latter boards the vehicle of revenge to pacify the agony he has been baring for the past 15 years.
The second half sees a transformation in Raghu's character.
Compared to an intriguing first half, the second half, especially towards the fag end turns sombre. Yes, of course, the filmmaker has tried to make the most of the dual meanings of the term – Badla – but you will wish the climax was a little different than what was served.
As always, Nawaz, will leave you go madly in awe of his impeccable talent. But Varun’s portrayal of Raghu will surprise you too. It was a good decision for Varun to take up a film like ‘Badlapur’ so early in his career, to display the diverse spectrum of his profession as an actor. Just as Nawaz, Huma, will leave you mighty impressed and so will Radhika Apte who plays Harman’s wife Kanchan.
Music by Sachin-Jigar became a huge hit even before one could watch the film. Thankfully, Raghavan didn't make his cast lip-sync any of these tracks. The songs indeed were an integral part of the narrative and the director used them wisely wherever needed.
The film has a steady pace and is in no part a drab. The only thing that may make you ponder is the way Raghu’s character meanders.
There are some intense scenes in the film that bring out the gory sides of a human being, who is forced by circumstances to unearth the beast in him.
If you would like to see different kind of cinema and are a fan of Nawazuddin, then ‘Badlapur’ isn’t something that you can afford to miss. Varun too will surprise you with his mature performance.
Do grab a ticket this weekend to head to ‘Badlapur’.

Anushka liked 'NH10' script in one reading: Navdeep

Anushka liked 'NH10' script in one reading: Navdeep

Director Navdeep Singh, best known for his impressive debut 'Manorama Six Feet Under', is back with Anushka Sharma-starrer 'NH10' which, he says, is a dark and gripping tale about the struggle between different Indias.
"It is very dark but at the same time a very gripping and compelling watch. There are many Indias in this country. There are different realities to a city and they all co-exist but they don't know each other. When they accidentally meet, sometimes in bad circumstances, there is friction, a struggle. 'NH10' talks about this friction," Navdeep told reporters.
'Manorama Six Feet Under', a critically acclaimed murder mystery starring Abhay Deol and Gul Panag, somehow escaped viewers' radar when it first released seven years ago but has since acquired a cult status.
Ask him about his delayed follow up, Navdeep admits that things did not pan out well following his debut.
"There were many, many false starts. I was to do 'Basra' but that did not take off and then I was doing another film called 'Rock the Shaadi'. We shot some of it but then it got stalled.
"It has been seven years but every person has a journey. It has also to do with the kind of films you want to make. If you want to make a big commercial film or have made something big then things become easier. You get only this much petrol on critical acclaim," he says.
Produced by Eros International, Phantom Films and Clean Slate Films, 'NH10', also starring Neil Bhoopalam and Darshan Kumar besides Anushka, is scheduled to release on March 6.
The story revolves around a young upper middle class couple Meera and Arjun, driving to a well-earned weekend getaway. But their road trip goes awry when they decide to step into a fight between some villagers.
Navdeep says Anushka, who is making her production debut with the film, was always the first choice but the script did travel to other actresses, including Freida Pinto, before it finally came back to 'PK' star.
