Los Angeles: Actor Ernie Hudson, who starred in the original "Ghostbusters" movie, would love to be a part of director Paul Feig's remake.
"I have not been officially asked to do anything so if I am, I'd love to be a part of it. I think I should be the old guy who's been around a long time. I want to be the guy who maybe trains the people," Hudson told E! News. The actor played Winston Zeddemore in the original movie.
Feig is making a remake of the comedy classic with an all-female star cast that will include Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong and Leslie Jones.
"I'm excited. There's been a lot of stuff in the press that says I wasn't, but I am. I'm very proud to have been a part of that franchise and I'm glad they're moving forward with something because it's been 25 years... I just want it to be funny," he said. The new movie is set to hit theatres in July next year.
