Tillotama also shared her experience of learning mannerisms of a man by watching Dilip Kumar'sAan and Tarana.
Tillotama plays Kanwar Singh, a girl who is raised as a boy by Umber Singh (Irrfan) because he desires a male child after his wife gives birth to three daughters. Complications arise when Kanwar is married to Neeli (Rasika).
